Battle Royale continues...

The first skirmish in the Boys of Brockmann Battle Royale concluded on Friday. The winners were:

Sam Starrett (duh!)
Tom Paoletti
Ric Alvarado

The Battle continues today with four more pairs of men facing off to see who will reign supreme as the ultimate Brockmann hero. Cast your votes ladies and gentlemen (if any gentlemen actually read this here blog), for you shall help determine the winner.

Who will it be?

Jimmy Nash (Flashpoint) or Ken "Wildcard" Karmody (Out of Control)

Max Bhagat (Breaking Point) or Mark "Jenk" Jenkins (Into the Storm)

Jules Cassidy (Force of Nature) or Cosmo Richter (Hot Target)

Stan Wolchonok (Over the Edge) or Mike Muldoon (Into the Night)

You started posting about these books, and of course before you did, I'd never heard of Brockman. I used to read only historical romances. I kinda skimmed the entries, looking for something that interested me, but you kept posting about the damned SEALs. This weekend I finally took advantage of online-available ebooks from my library. There were Brockman titles. I downloaded one last night, Over The Edge - the one with the earliest publication date that wasn't "checked out".

I stayed up until five AM reading, and I'm about thirty pages from the end now. I AM HOOKED ON THIS SERIES.

You're lucky they're available at the library and I don't have to shell out a ton of cash to buy them all, or I'd be shaking my fist in your general direction and... saying thank you.

(OMG SO GOOD.)

OOOH! Stan! I love him! He is one of my favorite Brockmann heroes. If there is any way to go back and read the rest of them in order I would recommend it. You will see Sam and Alyssa's relationship slowly build. It is fabulous.

I am so glad you like these. Now, once you have read these you have to check out the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. Urban Fantasy. It is my other favorite series :)

The first two are only available as audiobooks right now, and I don't really think I'd want to listen to these as audiobooks. heh

I will have to see if they're available in print in our library network. Meanwhile, I can't help myself and downloaded the next one already. Wildcard!

My heart bled for Sam just from reading the one book. ARGH! I was looking for the order of the series online, and there was one list that had them noted by character - I see that Sam and Alyssa don't get together until much, much later. NO FAIR!

It may take a while for Sam and Alyssa to get together, but the wait is worth it. Also, you get to read a little more about them in every book. So their story line lasts for a REALLY long time.

WHAT??? I missed this entire thing but it's wrong, WRONG I tell ya, to pit my boy Jules against that ded sexay Max.

I weep.

LB- DEEP BREATH!!! Max and Jules are not going head to head...yet. Look at the side bar. Max is against Jenk. Jules is up against Cosmo. No problems there, right?

Yeah, I noticed and really liked that other characters' stories were developed along with the main focus-couple of the book.

I have a crazy fan-girl crush on Suz. Even more so now that I learned she is a major Joss Whedon fan. She got to eat dinner with him!!!
