I finished reading Much Ado About You by Eloisa James. It seemed to pick up the pace a bit towards the end and I was, in fact able to get through it without stumbling. As I mentioned in my previous post, it is not that I think her books are poorly written, I just don't seem to click with her style and characters.
Sadly, I think this will be my last book by James. There are three more books in the series and I didn't like any of the heroine's sisters enough to read on for their HEA. Ah well. I know others love her writing. I will simply move on to the next book.
I need something to get me excited again. Demon Angel, perhaps?

Aw. I'm sorry you didn't like Eloisa. Demon Angel is fabulous. :) Colin will cheer you right up! Have you read the novella "Falling for Anthony" in the Hot Spell Anthology yet?
I have tried a few books by Eloisa and she is just not the author for me.
Oh yes, you must read some Demon Angel. You will be hooked.
Wait read Slave to Sensation a MUST will get you very excited I promise!!!
never read Eloisa she just couldn't hook me...
James is ok, but nothing I will usually seek out.
You haven't read Demon Angel??? Oh please do...it's so good! Wait, have you read Falling for Anthony in the Wild Thing anthology yet? That's actually a novella but is the first story in The Guardian series.
Ack! You guys are killing me! Me and my series OCD were trying to ignore the fact that Demon Angel is not the beginning of the series. HUSH!!! (My library does not have the anthology and I have heard that it can be hard to get your hands on it. I am trying to be good here, and not spend silly amounts of money on one book.)
I am also on chapter 14 of DA, so choose to ignore this evidence you find supporting the existence of a previous novella.
no no no The first in the Guardian seris is Hot Spell anthology yes that's when we see Colion before he became a vampire and how it happened. RIGHT?
Yes FFA is the first in the Hot Spell Anthology. I love Anthony....and Colin...and Hugh...and Lilith! I love that series! lol
Oh okay so good whew I thought I was loosing my mind b/c I haven't read Wild Things yet and the OCD was making me have a mild if slighly rough panic attack.
Lalalalaaaaa!!! ::fingers in ears:: Still not listening!
Damn, this book is good. Part of me wants to plow through it to find out what happens. At the same time I want to stretch it out and relish it.
Did you read the antho in Hot Spells? Isn't Meljean great? Don't plow through it. I did and suffered until the next book ;).
I second Sarai- read Slave to Sensation. SSoooooooo good.
Yay for Demon Angel!
I also can't seem to enjoy Eloisa James' books and this kills me because she is so nice. I am a member of the board she shares with Julia Quinn and she is always around but alas no luck yet.
I have just picked up the first in the new series, Desperate Duchesses as a last try. Fingers crossed
I'm definitely a fan of hers, but like you said, it's all about chemistry :) I picked up a book of hers by accident and ending up really liking her style.
